The list reveals metal's storytelling ambition. Iron Maiden's "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" draws from Orson Scott Card. Blind Guardian built entire albums around Tolkien. Mastodon's "Leviathan" retells Moby-Dick through sludge metal. These aren't concept albums in the loose "themed" sense — they're genuine narratives with characters, arcs, and resolutions.
